Hi!

Ages since the last post! It's back to basics then. One year had just whoosh past and many eventful stuff had happened. Happy ones, anguish ones, lonely ones(tons of them actually), etc. Yeap, oh well at least i am been through them and i cant wait to get out of school>< i know some skeptic ones would probably rebutt me:" i will die to go back to school!","i miss school and work sucks!" But still, it's not that i cannot empathise with you all, but we are really in a very different situation whereby all my close friends are either working/in army while i am in school like a prisoner(not saying that my current school friends are not close please dun misunderstand, you guys rock as well.)

Oh well, the purpose of this post is not to complain but rather to talk about 2 recent issues:

1. YES I FINALLY WON MY FIRST SINGAPORE POOLS TICKET! :DDDDDDDDD
yess suck it, big time money sucker Singapore pools!8D haven won a single ticket before until the match between Argentina and Germany. All thanks to Muller. And Klose. Oh and another scorer. Forgot your name but nontheless kudos to you as well(: Lovely 30 dollars to spend later with my AA team:D

now to the melancholy post:

2.Shittiest common test ever!

Disclaimer: this post will be super boring. It was actually meant for me to refer back and remind myself of the agony i went through and a slight boost to the morale of any egoists out there who love to step on other people. Skip it if u want!

HELL common test my foot. More like Uncommon test, in the sense all e questions were unbelievably not familiar. Gosh, I was even aiming for AAABB when i was meeting up with my teacher-mentor b4 CTS. I would be secretly buying fruits to pray and turning vegetarian for 1 week if i can just pass everything-.- I would never forget how tough it is, sleeping at wee hours of the night (1am or so), and then waking up at even wee-er moments(if there was such a word) at 4 am to continue to study. Some of you may have been thinking it's no big deal i have been/am doing that all the time, but HELLO me != you so if you are that godly, please continue to do so and see if you contract some disease and die off after u get ur straight A's :P

It was quite disastrous though,seeing how i crammed that much topics to study the day b4 the exams. Not only was it painfully stressful and unmotivating, it was super ineffective as well since the concepts could not really sink in as well. During the exam, when others were FURIOUSLY (yes furiously) writing, i was furiously panicking. I remember READING it b4 somewhere, but where and what was it about i was totally clueless. Felt immensely disappointed after every single exam, disappointing my teachers whom have high expectation for me , in myself for not starting earlier (i started in June Holiday Week 4 Thursday-Friday) and then having to go through that cycle again at night for another paper on the next day. Extremely thankful it is finally over now, and that experience of a short five day and seemed like a month. The worst will come soon when the teachers finish marking.

Here's a short summary of how terrible i have done and also a slight boost to your ego to whoever that's reading my blog:

28/6: First paper: SEA History, didnt study Decol, didnt study SEA economy, didnt study National unity and policy towards minority. Only glance through Asean. I was only banking on political structure, pre-war nationalism and JO. Hence, i could only answer 2 out 3 essay question. GUESS WHAT. I was so demoralized upon receiving the paper, that coupled with my acute stomachache i happily left the 3rd essay BLANK 0/25 marks. It was pretty difficult to concentrate with an uncooperative stomach and i realised i went on to go the gents for the next consecutive exams as well. Immensely torn after this exam, felt like awoling every of the subsequent exams. IF ONLY I STUDIED earlier. screw myself

30/6: 2nd paper: ECONS CASE STUDY, never read any lecture notes ever since the start of inflation = effectively means Inflation, Unemployment, Economic growth, Balance of Payment, International trade lecture notes UNTOUCHED til the dawn of common test. Got a rude shock when i first open the notes on 29/6 NIGHT/AFTERNOON. was really tiring and i tried to absorb as much as possible. thankfully Sean was there at night to summarise each topic for me and i had a set of summarized notes downloaded online. But then it wasn't enough to save me i must say. Just pray for the best that whatever rubbish i wrote make the tiniest bit of sense. reach home and prepare for thurs paper. Felt like burning everything.

1/7: 3rd paper: MATHS, complacency must have killed me. I was overestimating my ability and didnt touch statistics until the morning b4 the exam. Completely forgot about CLT/CC and alot of other conditions. Hell as it was, the air con have to add to my trouble. THe hall was FREEZING. I was shivering like an idiot behind and i couldnt even concentrate with the need to hold my pee in. Wasted alot of time on simple questions, letting my pride getting the better of me and ended up with a rude slap in the face due to leaving up to 20 marks blank-.- I couldnt hold it in anymore and went to pee, wasting another precious 5 min or so. Gosh, such a wasted paper which i could actually do way better.

1/7: 4th paper: COMPUTING, my all-time weakest subject. I was about to cry just studying this subjects, with ton of alien languages. Out of 20 topics, i managed only about 4): (file organisation, BNF, networking and was it OS? hmm) Combined with extreme fatigue both mentally and physically, this is a crazy subject to study. Seriously, i cursed and swear after reading each line of words. Google is my best friend here. I used it almost every line of revision and i still could not understand. Practical was horrendous, Theory part was more like a story-writing competition for me. Just throw in any random phrase that came into my mind, wanting the exam to end and looking at the clock more than the paper. SIGH

2/7: 5th paper:International History, terrible loads to study as well, skip china's economic growth, extension and end of cold war. Only glance through UN. This paper was way better than the SEA one. At least i did all e essays, albeit i didnt finish one. The questions was answerable, but it could have better if i studied earlier so that i wont spend half the time recalling that inflation due to oil crisis was 5.9 % to 15 % in 1965 to 1980, etc and actually writing out my essay. Was crying in my heart when the paper was over; really relieved not because of the good grades i will get like duh, but of the momentarily mental torture i am released from.

2/7: last paper: Econs essay, this was by far the worst out of the lot, upon receiving the question, i totally blanked out, couldnt rmb wht to write and how to write. I was seriously contemplating to just sleep and hand in a piece of blank paper, seeing how tired i am.5 days x 3 hours of sleep = 15 hours. A normal healthy kid would have been sleeping more than wht i slept in just 2 days. I hanged on though, writing random rubbish i could recall and thinking of what could have been better if i have actually spent my time studying than slacking the entire june holiday away. The paper was over in awhile and my rubbish wasnt even wrapped up as i simply dun have the strength to continue anymore.

Pondering over what i could have done now, the very least is to blog this experience down, and that could draw strength for this experience for subsequent exams i know a lot of you all there (yes you, stop pondering who) are really expecting me not to do well but i WILL prove you wrong. Will set plans to improve my scores and wait and see who gets the last laugh. I ~~will~~ MUST work harder. will update this post again once i received my results and after my teachers screw me upside down. So long cya!

Trmw marks the last Saturday of guitar practice.

Sadly or not, it going to be the last time we will ever don the blue collar guitar shirt. The way everyone train, the mental strength everyone gave was tremendous. Tremendous to the point that i expect myself to do so too or even more. It will kinda be the last Saturday trmw where we play our 2 songs yet again. Ever since November we have been playing these two songs, but weirdly we just dont get bored of it. Time flies and although it was really eventful, inevitably full of ups and down. I still remember fondly the times where Kimberly failed me for both pieces. to think back then i get 31/100. I still get 31 now though, but somehow it progressed to 31/40. I still remember hw we used to complain that we, the guys, always have to carry stuffs all around. I still remember how we used to scream/shout to each other in excitement that omg we have 30 year 5's. 5 GUYS! or something. I still remember the day i cried terribly upon notification of my retainment. It was christmas eve. I still remember complaining how impossible it was to play such nice songs. I still remember the Ghim moh Duck rice. Frankly, there's so much things that i remember but cant seem to put it in words.

All the memories we shared, everything we gone through was really too fast. I am reluctant to let go of the past, love to reminisce about it. How i hope SYF was abit later, not because i am afraid we cant play well nor didnt prepare enough. I have full confidence in everybody as all of them have work 110%, juggling everything in life with their hectic schedule. I am reluctant because of the fact that after SYF, my friends are going to step down. Yet I dont want to let go, running away from the fact that i will be stuck in limbo, that there will be no more training, no more sitting together and playing a song together anymore.

Guitar training have become such a routine that i really think i will feel weird without playing.

Long time since i blog!

Let's recall. Had ogl briefing on last friday. Was pretty content heavy for me since i didnt came for all e trngs. After that watch 赤壁ii with all e guitar peeps. it was definitely worth watching, and although we sat at the 1st row straining our necks, we were all smiles when we left(: Saw Jason and his friends too. Went home after eating with Dejian and prepared for Saturday.

Saturday was a tiring day. We went to volunteer ourself in this painting CIP and clean this old man house thoroughly! Although we took like a long time (around 8 hours), it was pretty satisfying to see the house turned from black to white(: Going back on feb 7 , interested ppl pls tell me(: Went back home full of aches and paint and bruises.

Finally ORIENTATION 2009! this was my 1st time being an OGL and i thought the experience was definitely memorable(: began camping in school on Sunday night, ate kfc for Sunday night, macs for Mon breakfast, kfc for Monday night-.- Ghim Moh's still e best for food): Met my OG along with Roy on Monday. At 1st thought they were pretty dead, and i was thinking "oh god. how am i supposed to rah-rah them for the upcoming 5 days" Fortunately, my fear was unfounded as i have several great year 6s' to help me- Roy , Ming Quan, Wei Cheng, Kian Hong, Xiaoyou, etc(: All of them are humorous in their own way which have unknowingly shaped our group into what it is now- a weird K11-.-

Day 1!
This was a tough day for me, practically still living in e shadow of the past, it's really really hard for me to act happy. The feeling of standing in the crowd along singing the national athem sucks. When i look around, i felt so lost and absolutely hated it when ppl start staring at me. Kept telling i just have to get used to it, but trust me, it is NOT easy at all.
Started with housebreaker when there is only 10 mins for one game. I thought it wasn't really effective at all. Went on with 31 legged race which i really have to thank weicheng for coordinating the movement for me while i am still in the hellish mood. Manage to shake it off gradually and was really really proud of them when they got 12.8 seconds. It may not be e best but seeing them smiling together warms my heart(:

After that was school tour, it was a terrible mistake by me): i sincerely apologise to my og! i thought we were to get 5 yellow envelops, but didn't realise we are suppose to complete 5 real stations.. thus when i got the 5th envelope, i happily told gladine last station and thus she say if last station dun have to take at all.. and i stupidly gave it up to her. Returned to the LT happily as 3rd-.- Slack for like half an hour b4 realising something went wrong and then went on to do the last station. Return last): SORRY OG!

Only up til here, i realised Imelda is Joanne and vice versa-.- ended day 1 with sort of low morale due to the sch tour):

Day 2!

Today was alot better! Dragon Boat was plenty fun due to sharon nicknaming us as kaobei(: Actually i think we are really kaobei-.- super noisy at times hahaha. This is what orientation should be like(: We emerge 2nd at the race! After that went to leisure park, tried Who am i?- a spicy Korean sauce on the chicken. My voice went to the moon after one mouth. Still can rmb the churning feeling in the stomach. Strongly nt encouraged for the weak-hearted- and also the weak stomach. Telematch was great for bonding! Kinda shocked that they were so bonded that they hugged together to protect Roy(: However, roy still got pretty wet. Oh well everyone had fun!

After that was og interaction time. Played loads of stupid game like polar bear and tuki-tuki. Absolutely hate polarbear, nvr got past the 1st stage. PPL KILL ME COS THEY FEEL LIKE IT LO!unfairness. Haha(:

Day 3!

Last day of year 6! dread this day as i fear when they go we will be super quiet again. Went to KSC in high spirits. Played Look-Out and emerge as champion! went to play the watafest letter hanging and got last-.- See how inconsistent we are. Played water polo too. Won too:D
Taught them a stupid game of huh, what. Was very amazed they are so entertained by it-.-
Went to ECP for other games. Played this digging game. Hell we are super stupid. we never answered any of the question correctly until the last one. And when we did, we dug nothing but forfeits. What " jump into the sea 3 times". LIKE WE WILL. Bury the forfeit back again quickly xP

Went on the the next game and won again:) the fastest ball- Kirin own. Painted ourself like caterpillars and wanted to challenge the last game. It was cancelled due to the violence. although we are totally prepared, none wanted to play with us. We happily announced we win then-.- Went for og dinner at Mos! Mq being himself again. Remembered i was totally shagged then on the verge of fever. Say good bye to the year 6's and waited for cluedo.

Cluedo was quite boring i must say. Everyone was sleepy and groggy. haha. i pretty much seen much of the scarers so were prepared for some scares. Nonetheless i guess it manage to bond all of us tgth more(:

Day 4!

this is the day whereby we have hell loads of pictures!(: started the day with hse activity- proving that we are true kirinmons. Had algor dance after that was pretty funny to see everyone doing the same thing:)

went for pac monster race after that. 1st food was at downtown!#%^&. unfairness again. haha went there for Mr bean. Was supposed to complete e task of passing rubber band for 5m.

time flies and this is the 3rd squad chalet we had. Although we have all passed out for around 1.5 years now, it's kind of weird we are still tightly knitted together, like a ball of wool. The way we communicate, the way we express ourself is just so sincere, like we know each other for a good 10 years. Noisy and disgusting as we can be, i could still proudly say i am from this squad, the one with the least guys in history (hopefully still is) but nonetheless achieve great heights.

That's all i guess. Look forward to the next chalet! By the way street rove was super boring, Junyang, Nicholas, Simin, Junyang's Cousin (Yi Jun) and me decide not to go for the second day as it was to us a waste of time. So much for promoting. Oh well at least the flash mob was pretty cool.

Did some taxi surveyor job on Monday too. Job scope? Sit down somewhere comfortable and count taxi+passengers at the taxi stand for every 5 min. Pay? A good fat $7/hr :D haha did from 11~ 2, was pretty boring though. I remembered my taxi stand was E09, outside Keck Seng building at Tanjong Pagar. Met up with nicholas for lunch and saw Simin, Suat Teng, Jocelyn at Funan IT mall. Stroll awhile and went home. Shall go i guess since there is guitar trmw. Soon in like 4 days, school will start and the real test begins...

Many stuff have passed in this one year.风风雨雨我都走过了。But at this point of time, my world is in a spin too, similar to Chin yi's. I wonder why my inner world is in chaos, but still i hope time will heal me, letting me emerge as a better person.

Maybe this retainment have thought me something useful, where i could uncover people's nature or character in the process and try to understand things i could never have before. It has also allow me to see things in a simpler way, perhaps of what weijie perceived as “知足常乐”. I do not really have a habit of making new year resolutions, so i thought i should start small and not be greedy.

My new year resolution for the upcoming 2009 would simply be:
1. Everyone to be happy and peace.

I remembered i went MDIS for my job orientation yesterday night. The marketing manager told us a somewhat meaningful quote which i thought i should remember.

"There was once a well with 5 frogs on the edge. Two jumped, how many frogs do you think are left?" he asked.
"3?" answered some CJC guy.
" Correct."
"Now there is another well with 5 similar frogs. Two decide to jump, how many frogs do you think are left now?" he questioned.
Sensing that this might be a trick question, Chee Guan naturally answered "0." Another guy answered 0 too.

He (marketing manager) laughed.

"5" i thought. However, i thought this was a rather stupid answer so i kept mum.

"Know what's the answer? i bet you all do actually. It's simple. Ya-5. no hidden tricks. It's just simplicity. When they decide to jump, they have not done that particular action yet. However when they actually do it, they or in this case you, may influence one or more of your friends to do the same thing. Same thing apply in life, you have decide to become successful/rich/happy etc, but have u actually do the things that will get you to that particular goal? So if you have not,why not be the brave frog then venture into the darkness of the well, subsequently bringing your 4 other frog friends with you along? You'll never know what is at the other end when you never try."

thought it was meaningful. However , didnt went for the training as the job was purely commissional. Doesnt really suit us.

I have been thinking hard, real hard these days. Yet i myself cant get the answer i want, deep down, i know i deserve it but at the same time every single part of mind and soul rejected this idea thoroughly. Perhaps it's fate and i should succumb to it, but growing up, falling down,i guess, is all part and parcel of life. I am determined (or i thought i will be) to definitely make next year a more meaningful one. As i have told simin, i am going to turn my worthless life into something or someone that is worth remembering.

Having said this, i need to thank everybody who helped me countless times along the way. People who have really go all e way or even saying 2 simple words of "jiayou" can really help. From this, i am really happy to know that i have a group of supportive friends/squadmates and even teachers. I have failed you all, but i need you all to know how MUCH i appreciate all your kind little gestures or huge efforts. goodbye, my beloved friends.

This movie's just awesome to me(: Good Plot, good graphics what else do you still ask for?Haha it is really worth $6 we have paid(: I reccomend whoever that reads this to watch if you can withstand violence. It's NC 16 for a reason. Here's the synopsis:

In 2012, the United States economy collapses and life for everyone is not the same. Once a NASCAR champion, Jensen Ames, (Jason Statham), hits rock bottom and spent several years in prison. His life was improving and changing for the better after meeting and marrying Suzy (Janaya Stephens) and having a baby girl. Then the steel mill closes, and he loses his job. But that was not the worst thing to happen to Jenson that day. Suzy is brutally murdered, and he is framed for her murder. Jenson is sent to Terminal Island, the worst and toughest for-profit prison in the country run by Warden Hennessey (Joan Allen). She has created the country's most popular pay-per-view sport, a kill-or-be-killed car race where the inmates race to win their freedom from prison after 5 wins. Every inmate driver is driving a monster car that they built which is loaded with machine guns, missiles, flamethrowers, napalm, and no rules. Warden Hennessey convinces Jensen to secretly take the place of the late 4-time superstar winner, Frankenstein, and wear his metallic mask in the race. Today was quite meaningful where our bravery and sincerity were really tested. Waking up in the wee hours of the fine Saturday day morning and then travelling all e way to Chua Chu Kang proves to be arduous. Went there with the mindset of "wasting my time here", "incurring an opportunity cost" etc, but i guess it's well worth the effort and the time we have put in. Sometimes i really marvel at the humanity/kindness of Singaporeans, we are always to go the extra mile to help the needy or the poor. One resident even asked me to wait for her for ten minutes as she rush down to buy some to donate.Another resident donated a can of Sky Abalone(:Although there were this minority group which happen to be unreasonable,impolite to the extent of slamming the door right in your face when you just say "hi!", I am encouraged by the fact that Singaporeans do have a sense of empathy, and i m really proud to be one of them(: Love Singapore! Majulah Singapura, Aug 9th coming:D Advance Happy Birthday!

After Project CAN, we went to Lot One to buy Dora's mum(not Lyon)birthday present. We walked around awhile and went to pizza hut for dinner where we really had a good laugh at Dora's dining etiquette and problem solving ability(: I shan't elaborate on the latter one, but the 1st "virtue" will be shown in a video at a later date perhaps.

Sometimes i wonder to myself how practical we can really get,like how inter-personal relationships is destroy for the pure sake of self-benefits. When you are useful, the world always see you in a different light as compared to a complete piece of junk, where everyone shuns and ignores you. Haha,gee be e 1st one, nvr the latter.

Saw this video after chingay,was part of the reason why i joined dance but haha,ended up just being able to admire the total synchronisation of theirs.Awesome!

Went swimming with nic poh at jalan besar on sat morning. It seemed ages since i last swam and then my goggles broke. came back practically rot and watched storm breaker which is real good:D made me happy for several hours basically. Love movies!

We then met up today for pw, which easily could be the most hated subject by most students. i cant really believe, astounded, that they are removing it in 2010. Damn. lol. today was rather productive where i finished my substantiation part for our choice of India for bsp. Although it took rather long, it was pretty satisfying when i finished it. went lunch and dinner with the mongo family whereby i could really feel the phrase ," there's a time for everything" and " work hard, play harder" when we are studying we treat it seriously, but when we have lunch/dinner(free time), we're back to our cranky self again! haha look forward to tmr assembly and prepare to have a good laugh! (:
